Survey shows Woodland Park Zoo is out of step with Seattle citizens and science
Friends of Woodland Park Zoo held a joint press conference with In Defense of Animals on Wednesday, October 30th, 2013 to release the findings of the survey which debunks the Zoo-appointed Task Force’s findings.
Friends of Woodland Park Zoo Elephants commissioned a survey through Research Now, an independent research company, with analysis by CPC Consulting. We wanted to find out how the citizens of Seattle felt about keeping elephants at the Woodland Park Zoo and the Zoo’s claims about why elephants should stay in Seattle.
The results of this survey will clearly show the Seattle City Council, the King County Council, Seattle’s Mayor and Woodland Park Zoo’s management and Board of Directors that they are out of touch with current science and the will of Seattle’s voters. Almost two thirds of Seattle residents want Bamboo, Chai and Watoto retired to a sanctuary—now. Click here for complete survey.

I pray that everyone treat the zoo management and staff with the respect and empathy that they deserve and carry no anger towards them at any time. They are good human beings, too. I pray that the elephants will be in sanctuary very soon!
PLEASE allow these elephants to live out their lives in peace.
